Microblading
Microblading is a permanent cosmetic treatment using a manual hand tool which is ideal for anyone wanting to enhance the look of their eyebrows. The results are natural looking, hair-like strokes, regardless of the amount of hair present.
Initially, the brows appear darker, but fade significantly over a two-week period. It is absolutely crucial to have a touch up done, as it is very difficult to predict how well the skin will retain the pigment.
The results can last anywhere from 11 to 18 months, depending on different factors affecting the procedure. However, a touch up once a year is recommended to retain the shape and saturation of pigment.
3 step procedure
The Consultation : You will come for your consultation before your initial treatment. This is where I will talk with you about the procedure in great detail and we will look at what you would like achieve from microblading.
Microblading Treatment : Firstly I will draw on your eyebrows and we will double check you are completely happy with them before we begin the procedure, they can be adjusted as many times as needed until you are fully happy with them. I will never begin the tattoo process until you are completely happy with what they are going to look like. Using a state of the art microblading tool, tiny precision hair strokes are created by hand, mimicking the natural direction and lengths of your brows. Pigments are then implanted into the channels created by the microblade in the dermal layer of the skin. The sensation is similar to a little scratch but you should not feel any discomfort. The area will look 40-50% darker than the colour you have chosen in the consultation, but this will fade within 3-4 days to reveal your chosen colour. The treatment generally takes around 2 hours and will leave you with highly defined, ultra-realistic looking brows.
The Retouch : A second appointment is needed 6 weeks after your first treatment. This is usually a 1 hour appointment to add more pigment to the brow area. This is because as the area is healing, some parts may not ‘hold’ as well as others and you may have a few patches that need more colour. This is completely normal and everyone heals differently, e.g – oliy or aged skin may not hold the pigment as well as a young, healthy skin type. Whatever the case, we advise you always come back to clinic for your retouch.
